Nike Varsity Compete TR 2 | Full Review

If you are looking for a perfect shoe for cross training, weightlifting, and general gym workouts, the Nike Varsity Compete TR 2 Trainer stands out in the oversized shoe market for a variety of reasons. While they may not be the ideal choice for running shoes, they often do just fine.

Nike is undoubtedly one of the most respected, high-performance shoe brands out there, and their varsity compete TR2 is a prime example. Designed for agility, sprinting, and other training, the stability and traction listed in the comparison prices they provide is almost unmatched.

There are two midfoot straps that keep your feet in place, while the thin upper and hard soles make it feel a little “naked” when you compare them to running shoes. when most of us are used to it. The grippy rubber outsole will keep you firm on your feet, which is important during heavy lifting and agility drills. Overall, they are a very versatile trainer that doesn’t pamper your feet like some other options.

Nike Varsity Compete TR 2: Comfort

Don’t expect these to be exclusively out of the box, as they require some break-in. Now, about a month later, they are definitely broken and fit the size of my legs. This makes them more comfortable. If you come across that initial inconvenience, it’s worth it. You will eventually learn how tight the laces are, how far the tongue should go, if you want to wear thick or thin socks with them (usually, I go with nice, thick crew socks), and so on.

Back on the laces, they only have cross crosses, so they don’t stick to the soles of the feet like shoes do. This means less convergence, although this fact made me feel a little awkward because I think it is safe to offer a good pair of runners or purpose built weightlifting shoes.

While the upper is light weight and unpleasantly interesting, it is also very thin which means you can feel these legs on top of your legs, especially if you tighten them. As far as the bottom goes, they are made of solid, hard rubber that does not provide cushions like most training shoes used in previous training. Needless to say, when you combine all these aspects, the shoe rarely appears.

I, however, mention that I usually end my workout with a quick run and take on these sidewalks. I was glad I experienced zero discomfort and pain, although I didn’t buy them with the intention of running regularly or for long distances.

Nike Varsity Compete TR 2: Quality

For Nike, these are really cheap at around $ (depending on what you buy). Also, I admit that I didn’t expect much from them. I’m glad they’ve surpassed my expectations so far. Despite the top being relatively thin / light, they hold up really well. In addition, it is clear that the laces are uniquely well-made, with zero signs of wear and frying. The sole is also nice and tough, made of durable rubber that can take a beating. Despite daily use through a variety of training types, and even running 100 miles on them, they still look like the day I bought them.

I chose black / black colorway, which does not show odor or dust easily, but there are others to choose from.

Nike Varsity Compete TR 2: Performance

I definitely evaluate Nike Varsity Compete TR2s as cross-training shoes. The Nike market has been described as “built for heavy lifting, leisure practice and explosive movement”. I don’t think I fully agree with that statement. When used for jumps and workouts they are definitely an exception which includes some bodybuilding exercises along with leisure work. They are also useful for lifting light. As long as I’m doing my heavy powerlifts (squats, deadlifts, OHPs), they won’t cut.

While they found a pair of more rigid sole mounted pairs of lifts, I still prefer my lig lifting shoes for more lifts. Why the upper bouts include two beats for easy access to high risk. The upper bouts featured two cutaways, for easier access to the higher freight. The treadmill is the worst possible thing when performing heavy compound lifts such as squats and deadlifts – all of which require a lot of stability in the joints.

However, for lighter lifting, other training movements and walking in low light, the TR 2s have very solid performance.

Best Uses Of Nike Varsity Compete TR 2

They are perfect for general cross-training, weightlifting, and calisthenics. I think this is a great option if you are looking for body weight training, agility exercises, light lifts, and shoes for light because of their structure, performance and price.

It provides good solid and firm base plus good stability while lifting weights and performing deadlift, shoulder workouts etc..

My Final Thoughts

Overall, the Nike University Competition TR 2 is excellent for cross training and non-specific gym workouts. However, don’t confuse them for running shoes or weightlifting shoes as they are not enough for any of these uses.

To sum up, before going to the gym and after exercising in the gym itself, the shoe is seriously great for short warm-ups. It provides a lot of stability for the lateral straps so you will feel stable and well protected throughout your workout. The only major downside to the Nike varsity competition TR2 … is to be wary of the size you go for.

Best for the gym, pressure-resistant and offered in the market for a decent price. These are the main advantages of Nike Varsity Compete TR 2, the successor to the first model of Nike Varsity Compete TR. Although the two are marked as training shoes, they look quite different. But I will go after that. . First, let’s see why I really consider these shoes to be running shoes, when they are only for the home.
